Help Desk Supervisor

Seeking a Help Desk Supervisor to develop, lead, and motivate a team of Help Desk professionals.  Implements policies / procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed and corrected.  Evaluates new systems, products and / or services and suggests changes to existing products or services as it relates to the Primma Desktop / Business User environment.

STATUS: Full Time Position
LOCATION: Roslyn, NY
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, direct and review activity of Primma Corporate Help Desk staff
• Participate in hiring process as it relates to Help Desk staff including: justification, job description and interviewing
• Assist with professional development of Help Desk staff by identifying and maintaining a training regimen and encouraging self-development
• Perform performance evaluations on Help Desk staff
• Manage Help Desk resources to ensure optimal coverage and performance; scrutinize requested leave time as well as review and maintain daily coverage schedules
• Monitor issues submitted to Primma Corporate Help Desk via system/phone; scrutinize for priority, accuracy and completeness
• Monitor issues submitted to Primma Corporate Help Desk and assign to appropriate Help Desk staff
• Participate in the development of service level agreements and ongoing management of service level compliance
• Perform periodic reviews of Help Desk staff work queues; ensure proper workload distribution and adherence to service level agreements
• Develop / maintain documentation as it pertains to system / hardware / services supported by Primma Corporate Help Desk
• Interface with external vendors where required in resolving issues
• Evaluate and plan hardware / software upgrades as it relates to Primma Desktop / Business User environment
• Evaluate potential hardware / software / services that enhance Primma Help Desk operations and performance
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends as it pertains to help desk operations, desktop software and hardware
• Provide input to Director/VP of Information Systems regarding annual budget for Primma’s Corporate Help Desk
• Provide off hours availability and support to address requests from Primma Management personnel
• Provide off hours availability in support of Primma IT operations (maintenance windows / third party vendors)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS / Computer Science or related degree, or 6 – 8 years related experience and training
• Minimum of four years professional Help Desk experience; Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows infrastructure technologies and operating systems
• Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop and related applications (Outlook, Office…) and virus protection systems
• Fundamental knowledge of networking technologies such as Frame Relay, T1, VPN, VLANs, DNS…
• Must be detail oriented, possess excellent organization skills and have the ability to multi-task
• Must possess superior problem solving, client effacing and follow-up skills
• Ability to express ideas clearly, effectively and professionally in both verbal and written form
• Must be able to lift and move desktop equipment in excess of 30 pounds
• Ability to function in a professional office environment and utilize standard office equipment

Insurance Sales Associate

Seeking an experienced and results-driven insurance salesperson to join our energetic team. The individual in this role would provide information, education and support to potential insureds and nurture them through the application process from start to finish. Candidates for this position should prioritize customer care, acquisition, and company profitability.

Salary commensurate with experience plus commission

STATUS: Full Time Position
LOCATION: Roslyn, NY
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate and qualify leads via phone and email
• Schedule sales appointments and activities
• Promote products/services to new and existing customers
• Source and develop client referrals
• Track personal appointments, status reports, and sales using Salesforce
• Meet or exceed sales goals
• Continuously improve through feedback

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Aptitude for negotiation and persuasion
• Highly motivated, determined, and target driven
• Ability to attend meetings, marketing events and trade shows during evening hours and on weekends
• The ability to travel within NY State
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but may accept relevant experience
• Currently active NY P&C Brokers License mandatory
• Familiarity with Salesforce a plus
• Insurance background a plus
