Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers Delivers New Online Capabilities that Enhance Service to Insureds and Brokers
ROSLYN, N.Y. – June 18, 2018 – Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers, (“PRI”) the second largest admitted medical malpractice insurer in New York State, today announced the activation of PRIConnect, a new suite of web-based tools designed to give more power and information to brokers and insureds.
“We’re very excited to bring these new, online features to our members as part of our continuing effort to deliver the highest level of service and modernize our operations,” said Bruce Shulan, CEO of PRI. “This technology investment demonstrates our commitment to staying at the forefront of the industry and building for the future.”
New features of the website include:
• Quick Quote: Now medical professionals will know the same day what level of coverage they can expect. Just enter some basic information and PRI underwriters can provide a quote instantaneously, instead of days.
• E-App: The E-Application is a fully electronic and automated form for physicians and administrators to apply for PRI coverage. Once complete, the form goes directly to PRI underwriters, eliminating the need for any printing, scanning or mailing. The E-App will be the only way to apply for coverage with PRI.
• Insured Portal: PRI insureds get direct online access to vital information about their coverage, premiums and deductibles, as well as view invoices and generate certificates of insurance.
• Broker Portal: Registered insurance brokers will now have access to monthly statements, account history, retrieval of invoices and policy renewal reports.
PRI plans to continually roll out additional capabilities for insureds and brokers. These enhancements follow the re-launch of PRI.com in February, which included an entirely new, modern and easy-to-navigate design, as well as a wide array of information on PRI, its services and developments in medical malpractice.
